About us
We are a team of dedicated biologists with 20+ years of experience and international credentials. Our team started off as biologists but adopted bioinformatics tools as we utilised these tools for our research projects. As biologists working at the interface of biology and bioinformatics, we understand the importance of performing bioinformatics analysis in the context of a biological question. At the same time, we are also aware of the limitations of these tools in specifically addressing biological questions.
Yashoda Ghanekar, Co-founder & CEO
Yashoda is a cell biologist with over fifteen years of research experience in diverse fields like cellular signalling, stem cell biology, regenerative biology, protein trafficking and RNA biology. Yashoda did her PhD at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore followed by post-doctoral research at the University of Manchester, UK. Subsequently, she has worked as an independent research scientist at LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, Agharkar Research Institute, Pune, and Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine, Bangalore. Subhashini Sadasivam, Co-founder & CSO
Subhashini is a biologist with over a decade of research experience in fields including cell cycle control, apoptosis, cancer biology, and cancer genomics with several publications. Subhashini completed her PhD at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad, India, followed by post-doctoral research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute & Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. Most recently, Subhashini worked as a Technologist at inStem, Bangalore where she studied the genomics of stem-like cells in oral cancers. The details of Subhashini's publications can be found here.
